Pharmacy Care Hot/Cold Packs (Small/ Large)
Pharmacy Care Hot/Cold Packs (Small/ Large)
Pharmacy Care Hot or Cold Pack is reusable and ideal for muscle cramps, stiffness, and fatigue. It is also good for managing joint pain and sprains.
Instructions :
-HOT Therapy:
Hot Water – Place the pack in hot water for 3 minutes. Remove and wrap the pack in a dry towel. Apply to affected area
Microwave – Heating time will vary with the power of your microwave. Place the pack flat on a paper towel in the microwave oven and ensure that gel is evenly distributed in the pack. Heat the pack for 20-30 seconds (for a 1200W microwave). If more heat is required, heat in 10 second increments to reach a comfortable temperature and record the time for future use. Allow the pack to rest 1 minute before use.
Heat Therapy should only be applied after any swelling has stopped or swelling in the injured area may increase. For serious injuries consult your doctor immediately.
-COLD Therapy:
Place the pack in a freezer for at least 1 hour before each use. Remove and wrap the pack in a dry towel. Apply to the affected area.
Cold Therapy is recommended for the first 48 hours after an injury. Cold Therapy is ideal for sprains, joint pain, tendinitis, tennis elbow, shin splints, insect bites and stings. Immediate cold treatment helps to stop internal bleeding and accumulation of fluids in and around the injured areas, thus decreasing swelling.
